She made the house on the market right away. She wisely used her time to show the potential customers and watering the garden whenever possible. I was referred to Kelly by a real estate agent friend after a very long, messy and disappointing listing/selling experience with another group of people. At the time I felt quite helpless as a first time seller, had just moved to another state because of my job, not only I didn't manage to sell the property for almost 8 months, but also was unknowingly bound into a listing contract by a very shady yet incompetent broker. (look out for these people, they are out there. I was naive to assume certain level of standard from someone simply because he had a license.) Things started to look a lot better when Kelly comes in. On the new listing agreement, I didn't even request this, but she made it very clear that I had the right to cancel at anytime with no penalties. Right away it made me a lot more comfortable. She made efforts to protect my rights, listened to my story, educated me on current market situation and strategies, worked with me to come up with a plan, and helped taking care of the property and made sure it's presented to buyers nicely, visit the property almost daily to catch any potential issues and solved it as soon as possible, always kept me updated with latest events/progress. She really showed me what a great agent is like and selling doesn't have to be a stressful and confusing journey, with the right partner that is. Overall I think Kelly is very professional, loyal, friendly, hardworking, detail oriented, and rational. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to buy or sell homes

Kelly worked with me for over a year to facilitate the sale of my family home after my dads passing. We had numerous escrows, renovations, remodels and problems. Kelly was there (I was out of state) at every turn to help get the house sold. She was always responsive and ready to help out. I have bought and sold numerous houses in my life and never had a real estate agent as dogged and thorough as Kelly Chaplin. She left no stone unturned in the preparation and sale of our home. She created wonderful videos and photos for the On line marketing as well as Open Houses which helped seal the deal. Her pre sale and during the sale preparation and fact finding made decisions not only easy but immediate. Our sale was particularly difficult due to multiple borrowers and a strict lender coupled with and incompetent buyers agent who didn't help at all and was over her head. Kelly is amazing. She is organized, efficient, fun yet professional. She helped us purchase a home as we relocated from Seattle to Orange County. She setup home searches and communicated regularly in anticipation of 2 whirlwind weekends we planned to spend searching for homes. Her patience and diligence at uncovering the right place for us paid off, and we quickly found a home.
