  • Kenneth and I connected, but did no business

Stay away from this crook at all costs! Last Spring, we attempted to buy a condo from K. Flannery of Pacific North, LLC and RE/MAX 1ST Choice (Browns Mills, NJ). Throughout the whole process, he acted as the most arrogant, dishonest, and negligent “person”. First, he ignored our agent for weeks and lied about fixing the issues with the condo over and over. Then, the closing didn’t happen as scheduled because he didn’t address his HOA violations and problems with the electric service on time. We couldn’t transfer the service in our names because on the provider’s records it had been cut off for 3 years, while the power in the condo was on, and Flannery kept saying there was nothing wrong with it and refused to explain or address the situation. He kept insisting on us buying the condo as is, and his electrician would fix it later. After the closing didn’t happen, we learned about all the terrible reviews and his ways of doing business. We tried to contact his broker and asked to transfer the deal to another agent. It turned out, the whole team was the same as Flannery - unethical, careless, arrogant crooks. We’d never felt so disrespected trying to do any kind of business. Flannery requested 2 more weeks to fix the “nothing wrong with it”. We found the time frame and the whole deal unacceptable. Despite the time and money we had spent on deposits, inspections, and fees, we decided to terminate it. Flannery refused and hired an attorney to force us to proceed with the purchase. After our attorney sent a letter stating our desire to terminate the deal, Flannery tried to sue us demanding to buy the condo as is and to cover his damages. In the meanwhile, he put the property back on the market. Every attorney we went to said Flannery’s contract was the most crooked, ridiculous crap they’d ever seen designed to trap the buyer. According to the contract, we didn’t have any way out despite the fact that the closing failed because of Flannery, and we had an addendum signed by both parties stating his fault. Several months and thousands of dollars later, we found a way to get away from Flannery and this hell of a deal. After we had finally received the paperwork discharging us of everything, we asked our agent to send another mutual release to at least get out deposit money back. Flannery, yet another time, acted as an unprofessional, negligent, and dishonest agent and person and refused to sign the mutual release despite the fact that the condo had been sold. Stay away from him and anything that has to do with him. He should not have the real estate agent license or be allowed to work with people altogether.
