Lorie LaLonde-Miller

I began visiting the Keys, with my family, in the late 70’s, a time when the Upper Keys was really a small town. I have witnessed many changes to the landscape of the islands and the diversity of its residents. I made the move to Florida to attend college at Florida International University where I majored in mass communications/broadcast journalism. Just as I was about to graduate, I met my husband, Rick Miller who is a successful backcountry fishing guide. His business and his love of the water led us to make Islamorada our home. We have three children, Meghan, Melina and Miles who are typical Keys kids. They enjoy fishing, boating and watching the sun set. Two of our children are competitive springboard divers which has allotted us the opportunity to develop relationships with many non-Florida residents.
