I began as a developer/investor in Boston in 1978-1979 when I secured a HUD-312 loan to convert an abandoned ex- fraternity house from Northeastern University into a three family home. The Fenway neighborhood in Boston, at that time, had been ravaged by an "arson for hire" scheme. I was one of the first to invest in the rebuilding of a neighborhood that is now vibrant. A graphic designer and filmmaker, poet and writer as well as a real estate investor, I moved to Chicago in 1988, where I began to market and sell real estate.
