My husband and I are semi-retired. We decided to purchase a new home due to a lifestyle change. We wanted to take a long time looking and look at a lot of properties before buying and be sure we were buying the "right" house for us. Matt knew this from the start and he was very patient with us. He showed us many neighborhoods in the area and I think presented all possibilities for us and a number of homes that we really liked. He sensed when we were temporarily "burned out" and we took a break and resumed the search when we were ready. Once we decided where we definitely wanted to be we found the "right" home for us. Matt kept us on track assisting us with our negotiations, making sure all deadlines were met, resolving all concerns. We feel he went beyond the call of duty as our Real Estate Agent post sale by helping us find assistance for changes and improvements we wanted to make. Looking at homes was fun but also very productive with Matt and Kate. They knew interesting facts about the different towns we looked in and they gave us all the time we needed to look at the properties. Can't believe how easy Kate and Matt Shaw made a long distance home purchase. Living in New Jersey should have made this difficult. Besides dealing with the HOA, home inspections, payments and all the paperwork, Kate and Matt kept us informed of what was going on every step to home ownership in Florida. They made what could have been a huge headache into something enjoyable. Kate and Matt are easy to talk to and great to work with.
