Max Brand

Max Brand Came to Grimes County for a Vacation To this day, Max Brand remembers the magical moment when he left Houston and journeyed a few miles to his family's hometown of Navasota in Grimes County. The traffic, smog and stress behind him; a place of joy before him. After a few weeks, he expected to return to the big city, continuing his fast paced lifestyle... But, a funny thing happened once Max and his wife Shelia arrived. When they took the time to reflect on the beautiful landscapes and active lifestyle of Grimes County, they were overwhelmed. Before they knew it, they discovered a Whole new way of life, and it was clear that this rural community, with its active lifestyle and picturesque setting, was the ideal place to call home with their animals.
