  • Mike helped me buy a home

Amazing. He was exceptional at negotiating to get us the best deal! Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell!

    • Mike helped me buy a home

Mike was so helpful and professional! I would recommend him to anyone shopping for a house. He caught a huge error by the lender that saved us $18K in the purchase of our home. Plus he's an all-around friendly guy! His wife is fantastic, as well.

      • Mike and I connected, but did no business

Goodness where to start. First, let me say that I would never recommend Mike as a realtor to anyone. Working with him was the absolute worst experience I have had so far, and this was my fourth home purchase. My husband and I were looking to move to the Quad City (Prescott) area from Indiana. Throughout the process I sent Mike several listings that I was interested in, and at one point I had to make the trip from Indiana to Prescott before I started my new job. I had requested to see houses when I was in the area. However, Mike informed me that I could not view houses until I had a pre-qualification letter. As, our move date continued to approach I continued to send Mike listings that we wanted to view virtually. After, I returned home we had our pre-qualification letter. At this point Mike responded that although we could view them nobody would accept a contingent offer because, the market was so hectic. So, we continued the processes further. Several, times throughout our communication I requested to place an offer on properties, that I had not viewed in person or virtually because Mike never made the effort to view them for us. Each time Mike either responded that a contingent offer wouldn't be accepted, there were several other offers on the home or that he hasn't heard anything back from the listing agent. He also continue to tell us that we would HAVE to offer over asking price to get any home in the Quad City area. Mike also suggested we use Jake Taylor as a lender and anytime I tried to ask about something with the pre-qualification Jake would tell me that he had to check with Mike. We had found OUR house and wanted an offer that day. Mike first stated that the agent did not return his calls. The following day he stated that he spoke to the listing agent and that the home already had 3 offers on it and that he "wanted to lob our offer in at the last minute." Finally, my husband and I became fed up and, we contacted another agent. Less than ten minutes after we got off the phone with our new agent our offer was in on the home we wanted. There in fact were no other offers on the home. Mike called me that Sunday to inform me that unfortunately, the home had went under contract and was no longer on the market. At this point I informed Mike that we had contacted another agent and that the home was under contract with us as the buyers. After our call was ended, Mike send me a text message stating. Good luck with Rebecca Durnell - she went with another agent. At this point I was very angry and I responded to his text message explaining that I was very upset and especially angry that he lied to us about the home having offers on it. He then had the audacity to inform us that there is a strategy to putting offers in on a home and that we obviously got lucky. This man is liar, and actively thwarted our ability to purchase a home. If we would have stayed with him we would either be homeless or paid way over market price. Unfortunately, I cannot select negative stars for this rating. Mike is the prime example of a horrible realtor only interest in your money.
