As a fifth generation Houstonian (my great-great grandfather developed his land grant known as Oates Prairie on the now industrial near east side) I have watched a Houston with no freeways grow exponentially into the bold and dynamic multi-national and multi-cultural metropolis it is today. Houston has provided the perfect environment to nurture my love of culture with world-class symphony, opera, ballet and live theater. Because Houston leads the country in restaurants per capita, it is likely that our dinner club will never run out of options for our monthly gastronomical explorations.
