- Penny listed and sold my home
She was our second realtor and she helped us with a very challenging sale of our house. We would recommend Penny Mclaughlin to anyone who is selling their house. She is very knowledgeable with the market and different types of loans. Whereas we were misguided with our first realtor. We wished we would of found Penny in the beginning of the process of selling our home. It would of saved us a lot of time, money and stress.
- Penny listed and sold my home
We selected to work with Penny after talking to a number of agents. She listened to what are needs where, advised on the best tactic for listing and selling our home and got the job done quickly. Very professional, communicated clearly and quick to respond to questions. Her knowledge of the local market made for a quick sale at full price. Recommend her highly.
- Penny listed, but didn't sell, my home
Penny listed our home but it failed to sell. What was funny was how mean Penny was to her own clients. It was almost funny. My wife would say, "I can't believe she is talking to us like this!" She was just short and rude. One time she walked through our house and farted. I just found her strange. We cancelled our listing with her...
- Penny listed and sold my home
Penny was great when we were first introduced up until we got our first offer. Our first two meetings were very informative and attentive. She told us that we could ask her questions whenever we needed. But the moment we accepted the offer and completed the paperwork, getting in touch with her was impossible. Out of about 20 calls to her, I think she answered 2. No matter how many voice-mails I left her, she never responded. There was actually a crucial week in our closing process where I could not get in touch with anyone from her team. After about call 5, all of her calls went straight to voice-mail; we thought she had blocked us. The only reason I ever called her so much was because she never answered. I tried different times of the day and different days with no luck. The only person I ever got questions answered from was her admin assistant. One time Penny herself answered the office phone and gave me a lazy answer for why she wasn't picking up any calls: "that's weird, I'm getting calls from everyone else." She says you can call her whenever but the only time she was in town was Tuesdays and Wednesdays. From Thursday-Monday she was at her beach house in Ocean Shores and she went every weekend. We were told that she usually did not have signal while she was there. I had to start reaching out to the person who helped us buy our house in 2018 and the buyer's agent for answers to our questions when I couldn't get ahold of Penny's admin assistant. Sometimes Google helped. It was our first time selling a home and it was very stressful not being able to hear anything. It became a "no news is good news" situation which is NOT how it should have happened. There were many times when third parties helping us with the closing process asked us if we had received info on what we were completing prior to starting it. Nope. We did not. She was not worth the $10,000 we paid for. We had to use her because we were crunched for time and I honestly feel kind of taken advantage of because of that. I would never use her again and do not recommend her to anyone, especially first time home buyers.
