Qihong Feng

I will preface this by saying that I dealt with Sher AKA Qihong Feng from the location at 132 N. 10th Street. This particular location may not even be there any more as my experience happened back in 2011 but the things that happened is likely indicative of the way the company runs their business. My boyfriend and I were moving from Connecticut to Philadelphia. I contacted Sher from a "for rent" sign in the front window of a south Philly home. I told her we were looking to move in August 1st. She went ahead with the credit checks, etc all under the agreement we'd be moving on that date. I came to see the house while it was being renovated at which time Sher told me everything would be cleaned up and ready for me August 1st. My boyfriend and I loaded up our Uhaul, drove to her office on 10th st, gave her first and last month's rent plus a $300 deposit for our cat (ridiculous), signed the lease and got the key. I will now list the things we were greeted with when we walked in the door of our new home. -Two trash cans full of trash in the living room -Cockroaches EVERYWHERE. MY boyfriend opened the kitchen cupboards and roaches came flying out! They were in the refrigerator which was full of food gunk and turned off. -Stairs that seemed to have just been painted a hour before we walked in the door but no one told us so we walked up the stairs taking the paint with us. -Dirt and petrified cooking oil on literally every surface of the kitchen along with rice strewn about everywhere. -Diarrhea ON AND IN the downstairs toilet. Yes. That's right. ON AND IN. Not sure how that happened. I flushed, the toilet worked. That was a special gift to have to clean later. -The tile that was put in had these super sharp edges because they didn't buy enough grout and so there were these sharp gouges in between each tile that would cut your feet if you walked bare foot - They used smooth ceramic INDOOR tiles on the exterior steps so they were always slippery especially when it rained -The nails from the old carpet runner on the stairs were not pulled up so on my first walk down the stairs, it gouged into my leg so bad that I still have a scar. -Did I mention the sheer quantity of roaches everywhere??? -Backyard full of trash -Basement full of trash including a full back seat of a mini van and a very creepy plywood room someone built and put a pad lock on the outside of the door. -An open sewer pipe in the basement -There was a part of the heating unit that was being held up by an extension cord tied to a beam in the ceiling -The wall was falling apart in the back in the basement -There was a mysterious hole in a wall in the basement 10 feet wide by 3 feet high and we never figured out how deep. -The walls were primed but not painted and who ever painted, just painted over all the electrical outlets, light fixtures, and windows -A bullet hole in the window of the kitchen -All the windows throughout the house were aluminum storm windows not real ones -There was a hole in the bedroom wall that went through the bricks on the outside of the house (because the windows are not insulated so they have a ton of condensation in the winter which drips down and slowly eats away at the plaster walls, creating a hole) -Some outlets did't work, huge cracks in the walls and ceilings, black mold in the shower and spots of it throughout the house. I could go on. So I called Sher and told her that this was unacceptable. She then immediately yelled at me and told me she did me a favor getting me in that place and at that price, I'm being unreasonable and to come get my money back and get out if I don't like it. I believe while she was screaming at me over the phone, she called me a liar and a bitch. I had no where to go. We had just moved to Philadelphia from another state and she knew this. She knew we had no choice but to stay and make the best of it. Neither the landlord nor the property manager ever came to physically see that house. They would hire this hairdresser from up the street to come and be condescending to me, telling me these things are not a problem and then, for example, put a piece of duct tape on the bullet hole in the kitchen window and walking out the door as a solution to the problem. Do not do business with this company. They lie and their business model seems to be to just start yelling to stop you from holding them accountable. They are truly truly awful.

I HAVE YET IN MY LIFE TO MEET A MORE DISGUSTING AND RACIST SET OF INDIVIDUALS IN MY LIFE! AND LET ME BE CLEAR I'M NOT BLACK!!!!!!!! 1> DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS DEALING WITH HER HUSBAND, A MAN WHO MARRIED A WOMAN WHO HE BROUGHT OVER FROM ASIA AND BASICALLY RUNS THIS CHICK LIKE A SLAVE BUS THE THING IS SHE IS JUST AS DISGUSTING. I ACTUALLY LIVED IN ONE OF THEIR PLACES! THEY PUT A LOCK ON THE THERMOSTAT AND KEPT IT AT 58 DEGREES ALL YEAR, IT'S >PA LAW...Some of the requirements of the Housing Code set out that the owner (landlord) of the property must: Provide heat between October 1st and May 15th at a minimum of 65° between 6:30 AM and 10:30 PM; 60° during the night and when the temperature is below 0° unless otherwise provided by lease. BUT THIS IS IN THE EVENT THAT YOUR PROPERTY IS MAINTAINED TO KEEP WARM, HELL NO. IT WAS FREEEEEEEEEZING, AND THEY SHOW UP AND JUST COME IN WHEN THEY WANT. IF YOU DON'T LET THEM IN, THEY WILL PRETEND THE PROPERTY IS GOING UP FOR SALE AND BRING AN ASIAN RELATIVE TO GAIN ACCESS TO JUST WALK THROUGH AN ACT AS IF THEY ARE SUPERIOR. THEY LIVE IN THE NORTH EAST OF PHILADELPHIA!!! ONCE ON JULY 4TH I REMEMBER SPECIFICALLY, THEY WERE IN PUBLIC THIS WAS B4 I EVER EVEN LIVED IN THEIR PROPERTY LISTEN CLOSELY, THEY SPARKED CONVERSATION, MY BF AT THE TIME WENT TO SHAKE HANDS BECAUSE BEFORE COVID THAT WHAT HUMANS DID YOU KNOW, MY BF WENT TO REACH FOR THE SHAKE AND THE HUSBAND SMACKED HIS WIFE'S HAND DOWN SAYIN DONT TOUCH THAT NIGER. IN THE END THEY TRIED TO TAKE ME TO COURT FOR MONEY I DIDN'T EVEN OWE THEM WHEN THEY FOUND OUT I WAS DATING A BLACK DUDE, COLLECTED THE RENT FILED THE PETITTION THE NEXT DAY, I HAD TO HAVE IT EXPUNGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE JUDGE WAS LIKE WTH?
