Rambo was absolutely excellent. I happened to meet him when viewing a property and immediately knew he would be great to work with. He was honest, hard-working, appropriately aggressive, and extremely knowledgable about the Portland real estate market and home ownership. I continuously felt like he was pulling for our needs and interests, and he helped us successfully purchase a home in this incredibly competitive market. Not only did he secure the initial deal but he - and his great team - helped throughout the entire process to close, including providing excellent referrals for home repairs. I'm so happy we found him and love working with the best in the business!

Rambo is the best agent! I am a first time home buyer, and feel so fortunate that I found Rambo at the first place. He is the very patient in trying to understand what type of places I like, even though I don't have much thought of what I like at the beginning. He is really knowledgeable in properties in Portland area, and have recommended me some great town houses and condos though there are really not many townhouses and condos in Portland metro area that falls into my price range. After I successfully bought the property, he and his assistant Liisa helped me even with making appointments with different contractors to come and really make the place "my place". He actually came in to my place with ladders and helped me installed a set of ceiling lights himself in the evening since I don't have ladders... Throughout the whole process, from house viewing to I actually moved in, Rambo is the only person I contacted with, for everything.

This is the third time I have worked with Rambo. He previously helped me buy a great house in NE Portland and then sell that one several years later after I moved overseas. I reviewed both of those transactions on Zillow but want to mention it again here because of the outstanding level of service Rambo provided as a courtesy in helping me sell the house without having to spend the time and money to fly back and manage a lot of details (like getting the house cleaned out and personal belonging moved into storage, etc).For the recent home I purchased, I was getting ready to move back to the US and wanted to find a house before I got back. I provided Rambo a list of must haves, and he sent me several options that fit my criteria. After we narrowed down the list, he went out and took pictures and narrated video (not only of the house but around the neighborhood showing how close it was to coffee shops, cafes, etc). In addition to take the time to take pictures and video, I wanted to do some work on the house before I got there and Rambo did a lot of little things like going over and taking some measurements for me. Anyway, I basically ended buying the house (my personal residence not an investment property) sight unseen. The first time I saw it with my own eyes was the day after I landed back in Portland for the walk through right before i went to the closing. I absolutely love the house and the neighborhood. Rambo nailed it!!

Rambo is the man! Ultra-responsive between him and Liisa, and that is the biggest problem with agents today is that they are flaky, and fall off the grid usually.He is not pushy, not sleazy, and well educated on the market. I can confidently recommend Rambo and his business to anyone.Thanks for all your help!

Rambo is the best, a true professional who's expertise is equalled by his dedication to client service. Rambo helped us look for a house in Portland while we were still in Seattle. He emailed us listings and educated us about the market. When we came to Portland for a week to look at houses he showed us several each day, zeroing in on our preferences as we went along and getting closer to the target day-by-day. When we fell in love with a house we saw listed online, Rambo jumped right on it for us even though it was not one he'd shown us. We found the listing on a Friday, and Rambo spent the entire weekend working on it for us, even walking though the house and taking videos to send to us. Relying on Rambo's videos and description of the house we made an offer without even seeing the house, got it accepted (over competing offers), and had signed papers late Sunday night. Rambo arranged the home inspections, etc. and continues to impress us as we rely on him through the process towards our closing. With Rambo's help we are confident we will close on schedule and look forward to moving into our dream house. Yay Rambo!

We are so thankful that we made the decision to work with Rambo and his team of professionals! We purchased a home in Portland in July 2014, moving across the country from the Boston area. Although I met with several other agents early in the process, Rambo impressed me as having the best knowledge of the Portland market and of being very easy to communicate with, which was critical given all the long-distance communications that needed to take place. When we finally did find our dream home some weeks later, Rambo expertly handled the initial price negotiations and the further negotiations based on the inspection. After we closed the deal and were waiting for our move-in date, Rambo had some concerns and personally inspected the house again, finding that there was some damage and general dirtiness after the sellers had moved out. At no cost to us, Rambo took the initiative of getting a contractor to make the needed repairs and getting a cleaner to come and clean before we showed up with all our stuff. Amazing service. This was our fifth house purchase in different parts of the country as we have moved around for my career, and Rambo was by far the most professional, helpful agent we have had. We really enjoyed spending time learning about Portland from him and we are very grateful for his service. We highly recommend Rambo!

I highly recommend anyone thinking about purchasing residential or commercial property to work with Rambo.I have been a client now for 4 years. Rambo helped us buy our first home when we were just starting out (lots of hand holding) and since then we have purchased additional properties including an awesome building that houses our production studio. Through every transaction Rambo was always supportive, informative, positive and ethical. He never pressured us but provided us with the best information so we could eventually make the right decision for ourselves. He works hard regardless of budget and it is evident he loves what he does which makes me feel less guilty when I want to keep looking and looking. I should also add if you are selling your home he is amazing. I expected a stressful experience when we sold our first home which we loved (to be closer to our studio) but he went above and beyond to take the pressure off of us. Our home sold before it even hit the market. The transaction was so smooth and the new owners thrilled that it could not of gone better. I honestly could go on and on... he is truly one of the best agents you could work with!

A friend of ours recommended Rambo to uswithout reservation (a little unusual for this particular friend). I would recommend Rambo to you or any friend without reservation as well. Rambo listened to what we wanted, answered all of the questions we had, suggested a neighborhood, showed us houses in all of the neighborhoods we wanted to see, didn't lose patience through a couple of false startsand ended up helping us buy a house we love...in the neighborhood that he recommended. We couldn't be happier and will call him if we need to buy or sell in Portland again.

I work with a ton of realtors. Rambo is one of the few I recommend to my personal clients. I encourage my clients to call a few realtors and see which is the best personality fit for them, because buying and selling a home has a certain amount of emotion involved and you want someone in your corner that you like and can trust. Rambo is both of these qualities in spades. We cannot recommend Rambo highly enough. Rambo and his team went above and beyond the call of duty. When we were considering putting our house in NE Portland on the market, Rambo met with us multiple times to provide feedback on improvements to make, those to skip, and suggestions on staging. He put us in contact with an excellent contractor to help us complete many jobs in a timely manner and very reasonably priced. He also put us in touch with a cleaning service that worked over 12 hours straight in preparation for the broker's open house. Rambo suggested a price for our house that would create a bidding war, and sure enough, we had multiple offers within days of the open house and we accepted an offer for tens of thousands over our asking price that allowed us to stay in the house for over a month following closing at no additional cost. Once the offer was accepted, we were kept in the loop regarding all inspections and contract negotiations, and were offered valuable and very much appreciated advice every step of the way, even playing mediator between me and my husband when we disagreed. I am a returning customer. I was so impressed by the expert handling of the home buying process that I returned when ready to sell. I purchased my home from out of state and sold it while out of state. The transactions went smoothly both times. My realtor, Rambo Halpren, knows the area he serves intimately. I believe that knowledge is one of the best assets a realtor can offer a client. Rambo was available whenever needed and pleasant even with the 3-hour time difference factor. My house went on the market on a Friday and sold that Saturday. I couldn't have asked for more. Since I wasn't in town, Rambo needed to see that the house was in order for showing and he did without hesitation. I don't know that I could have sold the house so quickly without access to his expertise.
