  • Rebecca and I connected, but did no business

On July 29, 2023, I received an e-mail from Miss Rebecca Ryan. It had a letter to my dad's wife attached with the full list price of $599,000. Along with this email, there was an offer that Rebecca and Mrs. Enochs wrote up to me, and my siblings. The offer to buy our dad’s house, that Mrs. Enochs inherited from our father, was a full $575,000. I am writing this review to help future homeowners and sellers know about this unethical broker who works for Coldwell Banker Danforth. Miss Rebecca was supposedly a mutual friend of our late father. The day of his death, my siblings and I were introduced to her and her boyfriend as mediators. They knew everything about our family and wishes. Instead of honoring verbal agreements between my father and myself, Rebecca supported his wife in liquidating assets and making sure we had no voice. This is the opposite of mediation. She supported a greedy, controlling, and selfish force. She knowingly knew of an agreement between our father, his wife, me, and my daughter. Our dad agreed to us buying the property from his wife under market value before he died. Rebecca also knew of all the financial assets that Mrs. Enochs inherited. She knew that my father’s kids had mortgages, etc. We offered $200,000, which was double what my dad paid for it and under market value. Mrs. Enochs could have gifted us the property if she was so inclined, having her financial future set with a very wealthy financial portfolio. This counteroffer was made verbally on the phone to Lavada the same day. She told me that she would need to discuss this with Rebecca. I have never heard back. In the meantime, my siblings were finally allowed to take home some of my dad’s belongings yesterday. Rebecca was discussing the future of putting this house on the market right in front of my siblings. I advise against retaining Rebecca as your future broker as she is unethical, unprofessional, and supports greed. On the day of our dad’s death, she was already talking with Mrs. Enochs about putting the house up for sale, and that they would talk about it very soon. I honestly think that this property will be sold to strangers, for about $475,000. Hope the commission you earn is worth all the heartache caused.
