Rick Stephens

I have lived in Comanche County all my life growing up in the Eastern part of the county near Lamkin. My family farmed and ranched in that area for over a hundred years. I graduated from Hamilton ISD in 1969 and then went to college at the University of Tulsa on an athletic scholarship my freshman year. I then transferred, and graduated from Tarleton State University in 1973. I managed a registered beef cattle operation for Reinhardt Enterprises while attending college and until 1975. I took the opportunity to teach Agriculture Science at Gustine High School for three years. In 1978, I went to work for Gore's Incorporated, a large dairy farming and feed operation. This gave me an awesome opportunity to be a part of developing a nationally known registered herd of Holstein cattle through embryo transfer. In 1993, I started my own Dairy operation.
