  • Robert and I connected, but did no business

If I were able to put zero stars, I would. My initial contact with Robert was through an email i sent in response to his ad. There was no contact info so i entered a generic reply and received this response, "If you push the contact info button, my phone number will show". Again, there is no contact button in his ad. When we finally did connect it was a rapid downhill progression. We walked into a rental property in Aurora and were being "sold" on what a great fit the house was for us from the second we entered the door. The truth is, the home WAS beautiful and a perfect fit. When we discussed the application process, we immediately ran into issues. Robert was very condescending when we asked what the deposit details were, informing us that it specifically stated in his ad. (We're house hunting and have seen hundreds of ad's) We began to negotiate the terms of the deposit and when he found out my income was from SSI and my husband's from self employment, he immediately recoiled and stated he no longer felt this was a good fit. I am a disabled veteran and my husband is self employed. Although our income is steady and grossly over the required amount to qualify for this home, we were being turned away. Robert stated the reason that we were no longer an optimal renter for this home was that government money is not "appealing" to his clients. He said, " If the government ever shut down, his client would not have reliable income ". I explained that we qualified off of just my husband's income but, he said he no longer felt this would work out. Dear Robert, I am a 32 year old mother who served my country so that your freedoms are in tact. My husband is a successful member of the community through his local small business. Your welcome for our contributions that enable you to be a discriminatory "money man". Avoid coming in to contact with Robert, unless you fit a conventional cookie cutter mold or don't mind needing to wash the disrespect off after meeting

    • Robert listed and sold my home

Robert is very professional yet aggressive. Multiple offers and covers all the bases. I felt well taken care of.
