Scott Furman, Owner, RE/MAX CLASSIC REALTORS. Homes, history, architecture, antiques and cars have been of interest to Scott since he was a child growing up in Wayne. From his parents, his Dad, a local family physician and his Mom, a teacher, he learned to appreciate the local area for its ties to Colonial America. His interests helped point him in the direction of Real Estate as a career, and in 1979 he obtained his Real Estate license. After many successful years working for and running other Real Estate offices he convinced his brother Brett to join him in the field and in 1990 they purchased a RE/MAX office in Wayne.   • Scott listed and sold my home

      Dealt with his assistant mostly. The house sold in 8 days, I did the photography and had to remind and push him to put a “Coming Soon” sign out. When it came to negotiating with the buyer, he was more in their side. He counseled me to take their first offer (I didn’t), and after they signed a contract, the buyers wanted to change items that were stipulated in the contract. His reaction was “they’re Chinese and English isn’t their first language.” I wondered who’s side he was on. Quick sale for him, very little work, and I don’t think I ever even got a thank you.
