When we looked at houses, she would make sure that was step one and wouldn't let me try to convince myself otherwise, knowing I wouldn't be happy in the long run. Not only did she help me buy the perfect house for me in the right location, she was invaluable in helping me identify a good mortgage broker, insurance agent, contractors...even a cleaning lady!
