- Steve helped me buy a home
We used Steve on the buying side of our real estate transaction. Top of the list for me was Steve's customer service and dedication. Steve was very accessible throughout the entire buying process. When Steve was not immediately available (which was rare), he always returned calls in a timely manner or followed up on commitments. Next on the list was Steve's commitment to our best interests as the buyer. Whether that pertained to guidance needed to sell our old property to better position us for the new property or in getting guidance on working with third party providers like mortgage brokers, inspectors, snarky selling agents, etc. Steve always kept our best interests at the top of the list - sometimes even if it worked against his own business interests in the transaction. Additionally, with all the dramatic ups and downs of the buying process, Steve was able to rationally lead us through every situation we encountered. Steve's one goal was to always make sure we had the best buying experience we could have. He delivered. Lastly, Steve is just a good person. He was very personable and easy going with a side serving of dry humor. If you can't get along with this guy, you're probably not much fun at a cocktail party. Steve made the buying progress as enjoyable as it can be. ...and trust me, this real estate business is a real pain in the ass! So hire Steve. Steve Capen went out of his way and well beyond what one might expect of a real estate agent. Steve was with me from the initial listing to the closing, and it wasn't always smooth. He negotiated terms with the buyer and each of two lenders, secured a lien discharge and coordinated the timing of all of these elements to come together for the closing. I could not have asked for better representation.
