DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THIS MAN! I keep hearing how “nice” he is and it makes me sick! He is the farthest from MORAL! He made 250k or more on selling us this home he flipped. He KNEW our family including kids was moving in, AND knew we were Veterans! I am now going out of my way to leave a negative review for him anywhere I can find him listed due to such a horrible experience. He sold me a NIGHTMARE house that was completely “fixed” (he is a house flipper) by his “contractor”. His contractor’s ideas of “licensed” repairs include: duct taping countertops and painting over them to match the counter, putting wood colored wall paper over doors with holes in them, painting over cracking in foundation to hide ground shifting, REMOVING all of the screens off of your house and saying that is normal protocol after selling a home unless requesting to keep the screens. Not to mention none of the requested repairs we asked for in our seller agreement were completed, or completed incorrectly. They never rerouted the downspouts was requested in seller agreement which has continued to cause water damage in the crawl space. When asked for LICENSED repair of our ducting system his contractor DUCT TAPED the closest ducting system to the crawl space that we would see, and didn’t even touch the rest of it. We requested he come back and fix it and he only replaced the part we would see, and STILL did not repair any of the rest of it. The “new hardwood floors” were buckling and bowing in several different spots in the house due to improper installation, and we had to take out sections of flooring in the first 6 months of owning the home. Our porch has cracked and sunk due to moving of the foundation underneath. We explained to Stewart that there was significant moving and settling of our foundation after only 6 months (manufactured homes, so crawl space and skirting that was permanentized) and he had a contractor come out to inspect it. His other contractor came out and was in SHOCK at how bad it was. He said it was the worst crawl space he had ever seen, and that it will likely cost at least 20k to fix. Stewart requested we get 3-5 estimates for repair and we would work something out to get it fixed. It took SEVERAL MONTHS to get TWO contractors out to give estimates due to our location and extensive work needing to be done. One quoted us 22k just for under the house and the other quoted around 30k. After relaying this information to Stewart he completely stopped responding to messages and has not returned any phone calls. His initial contractor said he has worked with Stewart for MANY years and I don’t doubt he has done this to several people. I KNOW he has to know of the work this “contractor” is doing after working with him for so many years. We are absolutely appalled at this experience.
