More about Tim Cronin
I grew up in Houston and attended Strake Jesuit High School. I went to Spring Hill College (a Jesuit college in Mobile, Alabama) and after graduating from there attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. My first real job was teaching chronic behavior problem emotionally disturbed junior and senior high school students in Knoxville. I loved the job but the pay was inadequate.I have a sister in Dallas who coaxed me into moving there for economic opportunity and thanks to her I got involved in the buying and selling of oil country tubular goods (aka steel pipe) at the beginning of the 70’s oil boom. I stayed in this business a long time, moved back to Houston and eventually started my own company doing international work on pipeline and down-hole projects around the western hemisphere. Like many other people, the world really opened up to me in the oil business. The pure awe involved in the industry of producing energy and the teams of people who have to depend
