When people come to NC to visit family or friends, they fall in love with it. I am not sure whether it is the state with all its amenities, the weather or the friendly people that causes them to want to end up living here. I have grown up in Vance County. I love the fact that I am able to be at one of our beautiful beaches or the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in less than 3 hours. We have the best of both worlds. I am able to reach the triangle cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill with Pro Hockey (Carolina Hurricanes), The Arts, Baseball (Carolina Mudcats and Durham Bulls) and last but not least ACC sports (Duke, Carolina and NC State). I can return home to the quiet small town living or the majesty of Kerr Lake with its 850 miles of shoreline.
