How I became an agent: My journey is different than most. I am originally from Wisconsin, where my Midwestern roots, coupled with my parents, instilled in me a strong work ethic and desire to help others. For seven years I worked in claims. One of my main assignments was to help homeowners who suffered catastrophic losses. For 16 years I taught social studies and in that time I was able to help students both inside and outside the classroom. Along the way my wife and I renovated or designed four of our homes.
