Tyler Casey

My first experiences with Tyler Casey were with a man eager to learn and succeed independent of coursework, which I find refreshing. As a sophomore, he impressed me with his desire to explore everything he could to flourish in his social media marketing interests. He eagerly devoured as much information as I provided to him about situation/brand analysis, audience analysis, and persuasive theory. He used that information to develop new marketing and social media marketing tactics for an internship with a fitness organization and to reflect on the effectiveness of those efforts. I served as his faculty moderator for that internship last academic year and now have had the pleasure of working with him in a social media strategy and marketing course I am teaching in fall 2018. Tyler is eager to integrate and apply new learning to his prior experiences as a social media influencer for more than one brand and as an ongoing social media marketer for Orange Theory Fitness. He is personable, organized (taking 23 credits this semester alone and still performing at a high level!), and can work independently or in a group. Tyler was enthusiastic, punctual and very helpful in all tasks presented. Tyler picked up a range of different jobs in a very short space of time, balanced them well and the office really enjoyed working with him.

His leadership, as well as his delightful enthusiasm, were highly valued. I could count on Tyler's maturity, skills, and kindness. I especially enjoyed his sense of humor and authentic interest in learning about new cultures. Tyler is comfortable with and skilled in thriving in new environments and working on teams. Tyler's written and verbal communication skills are most noteworthy as is his work ethic. These attributes were clearly revealed in the quality and care he invested in academic assignments, cultural interactions, and teamwork with colleagues.
