  • Tyson listed and sold my home

Writing a review for Tyson is very difficult. There is so many good things to say about him that I am at a bit of a loss as to where to start. If you look up "Grouchy old man" you will most likely find a picture of me next to it. Usually when someone works for me i can always find something wrong with their work and will complain about it and there is probably an endless amount of negative reviews floating around the internet written by me. The people that know me, know that i demand quality in everything that i have done for me and that i have no use for incompetent people, so on the very rare occasion when I recommend someone they know the person I am recommending is top notch. Tyson is one of the very few that make the list of people i would recommend, he did such an extraordinary job that i wish he could handle the other 4 properties I have to sell, but sadly not all of them are in California. So i guess i will start at the beginning of my journey with selling this house. It started off with us listing it with another agent, who was about as incompetent as they come, needless to say almost 6 months later when the house hadn't sold, we fired her and canceled the listing. Well apparently when you cancel a listing in southern california every realtor within 100 miles of your house starts acting like ambulance chasing lawyers, you will have them show up at your door, you will have them calling you constantly and your mailbox will become filled by realtors telling you they can do a better job then anyone else. So if you are like me, you toss the mail in the garbage and tell the rest where they can go. Well among the garbage that was in my mailbox there was one item that caught my eye, it was a very professional looking card from Tarek El Moussa, i honestly did not recognize the name at first but just because it looked really professional i opened it and read it, well of course Tarek mentioned his show on HGTV Flip or Flop. That i did recognize as my wife had it playing the full 4 months i was renovating the house. To be honest I had no intention of calling him, i did not like this approach to trying to gain my business. But i did save the card, cause i wanted to show my wife that hey, a celebrity wanted to sell the house. Well I ended up having a falling out with that realtor and was having to look for another realtor for the listing. My thought was it was going to be difficult selling the house as it had already been on the market for 6 months, and that pretty much everyone was going to think that something was wrong with it, so i'd have very little traffic even though it was a perfectly good house. I happen to see the card from Tarek that i had set aside to show my wife, and i thought you know i bet that a lot of people want to buy a house from a celebrity, and that Tarek's name would generate a lot of traffic. So i called the number and left a message. I actually didn't expect a call back, but the next day I got a call from Tyson. He explained that he worked on Tarek's team and that he'd be handling the listing if we decided to use them. So we set up a meeting and he showed up the next day right on time, and brought Tarek with him. So of course i showed them the house, they told me a few things that i would need to do, and even to not do a few things i was planning on doing, so right off the bat they were saving me money as every other realtor i met would tell me to do more then i was even planned on doing, they did make a few small suggestions to improve curb appeal etc, and shortly after Tarek left and Tyson stayed behind. There were a couple doors that needed to be replaced and i mentioned to Tyson that i was having a hard time getting someone over to replace them for me. And after spending about an hour or so talking with me Tyson left saying he'd get some paperwork over to me to sign (after i told him that yes we'd use him). Next day, Tyson sends me a text asking if it was ok to stop by and i told him to come on over, when i answered the door, i noticed he had a tape measure. Apparently Tyson had worked as a contractor prior to becoming a realtor and he was there to measure my doors so we could order them. We talked a little bit and then he was off to 3 or 4 different places to find me the best price on some doors. We ended up ordering the doors and he had a guy all set up to come install them when they were delivered. Tyson showed up at 7am on the day the doors were to be delivered to make sure they were the right doors and to make sure they guy he recommonded for the install did the job correctly. Well the guy that he recommended never showed up and we found out later that the guy had a heart attack. Tyson's response to the guy not showing up was, I'll be here saturday and I'll install the doors myself, and he did right at 9am the exact time he said he'd be there. To the readers of this review I want you to keep in mind Tyson ordered and installed my doors for me, even though he had been injured prior to this and it caused him a great deal of pain to do so, tried to refuse payment for the work (I actually forced him to take it and cash it under threat of not using him for the listing), and I had yet to sign the paperwork hiring him as the realtor to list the house. How many realtors do you know who would do what Tyson did? I can't think of any. Needless to say, i had been waiting to sign the paperwork till the house was actually ready because i didn't want them listing it till i was done working on it, but this proved to me that Tyson was a realtor i could trust to handle the sale of my house the way i wanted it handled. Through out the rest of the process it didn't matter what i needed wether it was a guy to mow the lawn, a house cleaner etc etc. Tyson would be on the phone trying to help me find the best person at the best price that could do it in the time frame that i needed it done. It didn't matter if i sent him a random text message or email at 2am (even though i didnt expect a response till morning) or lunch time. Tyson would respond usually within minutes. In fact when i got tired of dealing with the house and wanted to go back home to texas, the house was in California, Tyson stepped in and took care of everything and made sure it was done the way i would have wanted it done. When the termite people came out to do the repairs, Tyson was there watching them, taking pictures, and sending them to me and he made sure all of my concerns were addressed and that the job was done right. Heck he even got Tarek to call my wife and wish her happy birthday. If anything went wrong, Tyson was already on top of it. In fact he guarded that house as if it was his own, after any realtor used the lockbox to show the house, Tyson went over on his way home and made sure it was locked up tight. No matter how much i type in i do not think, I could do this man justice. In fact even as I am typing this Tyson is working on getting me some retroactive appraisals for some other properties so we can do my wife's grandfather's taxes, I have another property to sell in southern California and this man is actually willing to go hand the tenants of that property eviction papers and then manage the repairs to it so that we can sell that piece of property. If you want a realtor that will do the job right, and will go that extra mile, and to know that you are more then just a paycheck to him, you will want to hire Tyson.

    • Tyson is 5 stars all around. Im sure as they say in advertising, not everyones results would be as spectacular as mine. Give yourself the best chance. I've worked with Tyson to sell 2 homes and purchase 2 homes. I followed advice from Tyson on pricing, repairs, purchase price on new home, etc. In all 4 instances it has been a stress free and positive/profitable experience. Tyson has a construction background that is helpful in touring homes for purchase to see potential problems. And on the flip side, when you're selling what repairs you should do to get the best price. Getting your house ready for sale is very important. In my own personal experience, my first home was under contract before the open house was scheduled to take place. When I put my second home for sale, it was photographed on a Tuesday, listed on a Wednesday, open house on Saturday and multiple over ask offers by Sunday/Monday. Tyson ran the open house, so he met the 5 buyers who put in offers. He was able recommend which buyer would be my best prospect to put under contract and close. I would not hesitate to recommend Tyson to any of my friends looking for a valued realtor. All 4 of my homes closed on time at the agreed upon price with the expected results. You would be lucky to have Tyson on your side as valued resource.

      - Mr. & Mrs. Cartelli, Irvine CA
    • Tyson was a pleasure to work with. We had a terrible experience with our first realtor and took our house off the market. Once we engaged Tyson he quickly provided accurate comp sales information as well as a strategy for marketing our house. We sold the house within a few weeks and Tyson stayed heavily involved throughout the transaction. Tyson made a stressful situation much easier than it wouldve been had we used other realtors. I highly recommend him if youre considering selling a home.

      - Mr. & Mrs. Wilmovsky, Eastvale CA
    • Tyson was an excellent agent during the entire process, from beginning to end! From Day 1 he explained the entire transaction process, and had no hidden agenda. He was honest with the sale of our house. During the purchase of our next house we utilized Tyson, and once again we were pleased with his services. Communication is key with everything in life, and Tyson responded promptly via text/phone call no matter the time of day. He was very very organized, and was always on time to every appointment. I highly recommend Tyson as the process was easy with him! Thank you again!

    • We made the right choice going with Tyson. We had bad experiences with other realtors being pushy/ bossy before. He's very professional but laid back. Very organized and on top of every move. Tyson always responded quickly and was informative and helpful throughout the process. I'm also very happy to say he got our home sold right after it went on the market and over our asking price!! I would absolutely recommend Tyson he is awesome! Thank you it was so nice to work with you!!!

      - Mr. & Mrs. Williams, Moreno Valley CA
    • We hired Tyson to list my mother's home. Working with Tyson was a wonderful experience. He was professional, explained all aspects of the selling process, always responded to my text messages, emails and phone calls in an expedient manner. We had a couple of minor things, in the home, that needed to be repaired. Rather than me trying to find a handyman to take care of the repairs, Tyson immediately volunteered to make the repairs. My mother's home sold in 35 days. I will always recommend Tyson to my family and friends when the time comes for them to sell their homes.

      - Mrs. Lynd, Corona CA
    • We were referred to Tyson through a family friend and we are so incredibly grateful to have met him! He helped us purchase our very first home and answered every single question we could possibly come up with. We loved his professionalism, efficiency and honesty so much that we decided to contact him again when we needed to sell our first home as quickly as possible. He was on it from day one! He presented comps and statistics of the neighborhood so that we could decide on the best price to sell quickly, but not leave any money on the table. He posted on so many sites and provided fantastic photos and a wonderful listing. We received an offer the very next day after listing! We have closed on our home and Tyson truly made it a seamless process and we had absolutely no worries because we were 1,000% confident that we were in the best of hands. I would recommend Tyson to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. You will not regret it!

    • Tyson was pleasant and gave excellent service and communication. He was very knowledgeable about the market and was willing to help in any way needed including recommendations of people to help clean out the house, since this was an out of state sale and I was unable to be there. He went above and beyond what any normal real estate agent would do. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good agent
