He listened to what we wanted and our reasons for wanting it and then advised us based on a blend of our interests and his expert knowledge. He made sure we understood the "why" behind all of his advice (how much to offer, which house/s to pursue, what to ask the seller to pay for, how to structure the seller's concessions, etc.). He negotiated very well with solid, objective criteria and got us a great deal as a result, was very responsive, and he also set us up with an easy lending experience and a contractor who we ended up choosing after getting estimates from 3 others. We heard friends' horror stories about how difficult and time-consuming buying their first house was, and at times we were wondering why our experience was so easy - it was because of Alan! We bought in the South Scottsdale / North Tempe area. We already referred him to the owners of the condo we were renting, and they chose him as their selling agent.
