  • Alex never responded to my request

My wife and I hired Re/Max to manage our property while we were overseas. Alex Nova took over the management of the property, without notice, and as a result, we incurred charges, due to a reversal in deposits. We tried contacting Alex Nova’s office repeatedly for over two months; the calls went straight to voicemail, with no return call. We were finally able to terminate our contract however, Alex Nova refuses to release our tenant’s escrow. He and his team is very unprofessional and unworthy of the trust that is expected of a realtor/broker. I would not recommend them for anything realty related and/or otherwise.

    • Alex helped me buy a home

If you have the opportunity to work with Alex's team, stop in your tracks, run in the opposite direction, and find a more competent team. Alex's team was responsible for managing our rental property while we lived out of state on military orders. Everything went well until they fired the woman managing our property and reassigned us without advance notice, then that property manager left - without any notice at all. Since they reassigned our account, they haven't consistently replied to our communication attempts, bashed our prior property manager unprofessionally in emails, and took a major turn to treating us unprofessionally. They neglected to return ANY calls at all, some numbers have full voicemails... the only way I've been able to get their attention is by leaving info in a contact form on their website, and even then I can tell their response is a copy/paste snarky canned response. When I asked if we could dissolve our agreement because we were not happy with their care, they told me the agreement is a legally binding document and we would have to pay them in accordance to the agreement to dissolve it. A few months later, we received less than one day notice that they were not going to collect rent for us the following month, they decided to not respond, set up, or attend the move-out inspection. COMPLETELY VIOLATING THE "LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENT" and not caring one bit. Funny how when we wanted out, they wouldn't allow it because of our legally binding agreement, but when it comes to them holding up their end of the LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT, they could care less. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. As of writing this review, it has been 105 days since our tenants moved out and they still have not provided them with their security deposit refund that is listed in the lease as being legally due to them by day 45. This should seriously be a punishable crime. It is not ok legally or ethically. Not to mention they neglected to respond to several emails asking for our 1099 tax document AFTER it was legally required by federal law to be sent to us... and when they did finally send it more than 2 months late - after we had contacted the IRS to see if one was filed - and they decided to send it through an UNSECURE email. We've owned rentals in the area since 2011, and NEVER had encountered such an unprofessional experience with a property manager.
