If you live in Colorado, outdoor sports are ever present. Just hiking, walking, enjoying the countryside in this neck of the woods(Monument, CO) is always a pleasant activity. When I have the time, I enjoy playing in the Senior Ice Hockey League here in Monument. We now have two ice arenas run by Al Peterson of Boston Bruin fame..his defense partner was the legend Ray Bourque. Being a Canadian for 5 years of my young life was helpful in learning some skills.
Moving to Detroit MI and then on to Indianapolis, IN with my parents has given me a unique perspective on the various regions of our country. Monument is also in a growth spurt. A new medical facility is being constructed right next to the almost new YMCA. Construction of a new volleyball arena is planned for 2014. If a rather temperate climate, with definite seasons, is to your liking, then you will enjoy life here, just as I do.
