    • I recently referred a colleague of mine to Bernard Laffer who shared insight into negative comments about him on Yelp that I wasn't aware of. Frankly I was disappointed because that hasn't been my experience.I have known Bernard for almost six years. In that time, I have referred to him two of my closest friends and several other people. No one is perfect however here is how I evaluate Bernard and what's important to me in a real estate agent:Knowledge of the area - Hands down Bernard knows local Bay Area especially San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton and nearby cities. What impressed me the first time was that he even keep tabs of future development and city improvements. He guided us to stay away from areas which would have become commute nightmare when new roads were opened up to connect. Needless to say he has insights into market dynamics, community make up and school situations.2) Honest and straight shooter - Bernard will tell you how it is. You may not like the answer and it may be why some people get turned off but this trait I personally admire. 3) Fair - Bernard is fair. On selling side his commissions are below market for comparable service. On buying side he shares his commissions with you as he did with me in tune of thousands.I highly recommend Bernard. Please remember nothing is free. You get what you pay for though in case of Bernard you are getting much higher value than what you potentially paid for.

    • Bernard is first agent I work with and I feel very lucky to have him. Purchasing house is a lengthy and streneous process to me, I can't imagine how it can be accomplished without his help. He is very honest and speak truly about what he think it is. I take a lot of advice from him. He doesn't push me into buying anything. He is also very dedicated to work. He kept close track of all parties to ensure transaction process is smooth. He is particularly very responsive to emails and phone calls. He is also a very reliable person to work with. He is resourceful and got tons of experience. Even after purchase closes, he can still be a good friend I can rely on. I appreciate everything he does. If I want to purchase another one, he will be my favorite agent to partner with again.
