Charles Bent

From the first phone call when Charles repeatedly told me it was my job to make sure my mom (mother in law) signs to sell her house with him I was disgusted. He's kinda friends with my husband and keeps pushing "We're friends so you have to sell through me." My mom feels guilted into giving him a chance and said she'd give him 30 days although we clearly see he's been playing guilt games with her sons to make them feel they have to choose Charles. Although Charles is no one's first choice. My 93 year old mother on law is the sweetest kindest lady you'd ever meet. She's convinced if she doesn't sign a contract with Charles he'll sue her even though she's never promised to sign with him and her poor health can not handle a law suit. Maybe she thinks that because he keeps saying "You will be screwed if you go with another agent." I find it very unprofessional Charles has nagged her children for a sale. Now he wants mom to sign a limited contract to her house won't even get full exposure. I can only imagine it's so he can hoard all the commission to himself! He wants to charge 6% when a GREAT AGENT with beautiful listings will stage the house do professional photography and also market it not only on MLM (which Charles is trying not to as he takes advantage of my 93 year old mother) but also on social media for the same 6%. I feel he's trying to give a happy meal service for a steak house price. I don't trust him. Charles has assured "his word" that although the contract says one thing his word says another. Example the 30 days. I know for a FACT Charles straight up guilted someone else into tearing up their signed contract when happily buying a house because "we're friends you have to let me sell it to you" and then took the sale. That other agent lost a sell as he stole it. Did he consider that might have been providing food for her children or possibly much needed rent when he did that? I wouldn't recommend anyone ever do any business with Charles Bent EVER!
