I am a disable veteran looking for a home that will house my family, but provide for one-story living for my disability. I offered full asking price with $20k seller assistance. The realtor counter-offered $490 plus $10k assistance or $480 with no assistance. My offer and her counter offers allowed her to walk away with $480k. It is the same profit. It is public record what the house was bought for and what she was selling it for. My realtor told her to walk away if she was not interested in my offer. She strung me along for four frustrating days for no reason. I am confused at herunderstanding of math. The only reason I can think of for this behavior is that she intentionally listed the house for more than the value. Even so, continuing negotiations for 4 days wasted valuable time in my search for a home. It was unprofessional and in poor judgement. I will NEVER consider any homes you list or recommend friends to any of your listings. It is unfortunate that you create beautiful homes, but don’t actually want people to be able to buy them.
