After moving around quite a bit as a child, my family settled in Raleigh in 1991 and I knew I was HOME! I graduated from Athens Drive High School (Go Jags!) and then went to Cullowhee, NC to attend Western Carolina University (Go Catamounts!). I graduated with a Business Degree with a concentration in Marketing. After college, all I wanted to do was come back HOME to Raleigh! For over 11 years, I worked at the State Employees' Credit Union, which is the second largest Credit Union in the NATION. For most of my time there, I was a loan and mortgage officer, which I loved. I gained a vast amount of knowledge about credit reporting, debt-to-income ratios and how interest works. The Credit Union allowed me to see through just the credit score and help members who were struggling with credit issues, which was very rewarding.
