            My husband and I used Dave Shorey to purchase our Condo 5 years ago and most recently we used Dave Shorey to sell that same condo. Our experience for both the buying and selling sides was exceptional. On the buying side, Dave worked with us to find houses that fit our needs and coached us through the competitive buying experience. He has amazing experience in the Cambridge / Somerville / Arlington / Watertown area. On the house I purchased, there was a lot of back and forth during the negotiation process on the price and work that would be completed before the sale. Dave was extremely honestly on the market value and how much the upgrades to the home would cost. I am very happy with the sale price of the home and am thrilled with my home. Dave continued to be a resource after the purchase, recommending plumbers/electricians in the area. Throughout the process Dave and his team were helpful and actively working to make sure we had the best experience. On the selling side, Dave and his team did an extraordinary job. A few months before our house went on the market Dave came by our house and gave us a list of recommended updates to get maximum value for our home. He has a great eye and made sure our home was staged to showcase the home. A few weeks before the house was listed, he lined up photos, a video and a 3D tour to make our home shine in the marketing. In my opinion, our home stood out among the crowd of homes listed in the spring market because of the excellent marketing job. After our home was on the market, our contractor for our new home let us know that the project was delayed another month. We were immediately worried that we would be out of a home and started looking at rental units to bridge the gap between the sale of our current home and the move into our new home. Dave completely understood the situation and encouraged us to let prospective buyers know that the ability to stay in our home a little longer than average would make their offer stronger. In the end, all 5 of our offers allowed us to stay in our home an extra month. Dave handled the competing offers extremely well and he was able to get us more than we ever anticipated for the sale of our home. We sold our home for $45,000 more than our listing price with no contingencies and the ability for us to stay in our home for an additional month. My husband and I were simply ecstatic with the listing experience. Dave and his team didn’t stop their work after an accepted offer. They ensured that everything was lined up for the closing. When we needed to have a condo trustee, who had just had surgery and was housebound, to sign a notarized form, Dave had a notary come out to his home to make sure it was signed before our closing. He truly goes above and beyond. I highly recommend you use Dave and his team for your next home purchase or sale. It will be worth it.
