Detra Cox

Detra Cox was recommended to me in my quest to relocate from New York and purchase my very first home in NC’s Triad region. She was an absolute godsend! She helped make a complicated process super smooth. From day one til day done (and even after) Detra maintained an open line of communication between us. She responded promptly to any questions or concerns. She was very thorough and explained EVERYTHING that was going to take place throughout the process which I appreciated because, being a first time home buyer, there were things I didn’t even know to ask about. When I did have questions (often) she almost always had the answer and if she didn’t, it was at most a half hour before she’d get back to me with the answer. I did do extensive research on my own prior to embarking on this journey and Detra checked every box, proving to be extremely knowledgeable in her field. I appreciated the fact that she remained professional throughout the whole process but also managed to make me feel like we were family. I know this is her job and everyone has bills to pay but Detra made me feel like the end goal was all about me getting into a beautiful, safe home in my budget that my family would enjoy for years to come- not about pushing this process along so she could get her cut and move on. I used all of her contacts (inspector, lender recommendations, etc) and everyone was great and served me just as well as she did. She was prompt in making connections and appointments with any 3rd party and made sure we got reports back in a timely fashion. She never let anything go answered and would follow up as often as needed to get us whatever answers we needed. After closing, Detra gave me a packet of information about the city I was moving to, things to do/look out for and how to stay on top of things regarding my new home. Detra Cox is truly a gem and I recommend her to everyone in need of a realtor in the area. I will be using her again as I’ll be getting into buying more real estate in the future.
