Donna Abbott

I am a native of Atlanta, but grew up in Charlotte, NC. After college at Western Carolina University and Winthrop College, I returned to Charlotte and began 24 years in the banking industry – thirteen with First Union National Bank and the last eleven years with SunTrust Bank. As a retail banker, I served as a branch manager and then as an area manager, responsible for nine branch banks. In the last three years of my banking career, I became a client advisor in the private wealth department. There, I obtained my professional licenses; Series 6, 63, 7, 66 and Life and Variable Insurance. In 1991, while still with First Union, I moved to Savannah and in 1998 I married my husband, Reggie Abbott, Jr., a Savannah native.
