There only concern was to ensure that all our needs were met and our stress levels manageable. I would not have liked to go through that experience without their constant support. Edie and her team exemplify why the 80/20 rule (80% of sales are made by 20% of all sales people) exists. Their concern was our welfare and not their profit margin. When unexpected repairs were needed on our home after escrow opened Edie's team directed us to great professionals and followed up on every stage of the process. John Israel was invaluable in effectuating and expediting preparation of our home for the new owners and often made personal visits to inspect and even aid in the repair process. If you, are a bottom line person know that Edie sold our house virtually before it was listed and we achieved our asking price. She even made accommodations to the escrow that enabled us to buy and close on our new home earlier than we could have hoped for. Two of the four recommended a listing price tens of thousands under the sales price and were very cavalier about it. The third realtor was professional in determining the listing price but was less so about the recommended upgrades to the house to get the best price. The Edie Israel Team impressed me with both their marketing plan and their upgrade recommendations which made it easy to decide to go with them. Edie's real estate service consists of three people: Edie, who oversees the marketing end, her husband John, who recommends changes and improvements to the house, and Jim Allen, who handles the offer and escrow process. It was John's detailed list of recommended upgrades which was the deciding factor. After all, its hard to tell if someone is the best at sales and service but a room by room listing of ways to maximize the house's appeal is a concrete example of their professionalism and commitment. It had been a while since I sold a house so I had forgotten that the offer is the beginning of the process, not the end. My buyers escrow was longer than expected but Jim kept me up-to-date. Our objective was simple: who was going to spend the most time and marketing dollars to promote and advertise our home, get maximum top dollar for the home, handle all the intricate details throughout the transaction; and most importantly, receive the net funding we needed in a very tight time line to fund our new build. This interview process was not easy because all four, respectfully, tell you what you want to hear. Our gut instinct told us to go with Edie, John and Jim of team Israel. What a blessing and smart decision we made. Here are the results that exceeded our expectations: they sold our home in three weeks - this happened when the real estate market went into a slump after coming off a high. Team Israel got us $100k more than the comps, but together we knew we had an excellent product to show. Through the funding transition there were some hiccups on the buyers end and Edie personally and masterfully handled them without a hitch. The buyer had an overzealous inspection company.
