Elaine White
Elaine is not only an incredibly knowledgeable, professional & dedicated real estate agent, shes an invaluable partner & resource to our family. When we bought our first home in Menlo Park, Elaine did an amazing job of listening to our needs & desires, working with our challenging schedules & maintaining an impressive pace to help us achieve our goal. Beyond her insights into real estate & the local market, Elaine consistently provided outstanding advice. She even helped us find resources for our remodeling project.
- Chet & Roxanne Bozdog, buyers and sellersSuperlatives do not do justice when trying to describe Elaine - she is simply that good! My wife and I immediately realized upon meeting Elaine that she was an elite realtor that was heads and shoulders above her competitors (we had interviewed more than a half dozen very good agents...). Every experience since has confirmed that simple truth. Elaine has the highest integrity, is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, has a deep understanding of the peninsula realty market, is a keen negotiator and, perhaps most importantly, has made sacrifices to get us into our home (it did take us more than six months to find the right one). I believe that the best compliment one can bestow on a realtor is to use their services again and recommend them to friends, family and colleagues. Elaine falls into this category. Please feel free to contact me directly and I would happily provide more details on why my wife and I are such happy customers.
- Andrew O., buyer and sellerYoure supervery professional! Im very impressed. I admire your work ethic, organization, preparedness, customer relationship focus, integrityyou have all the skills of a top exec!
- Pat Pekary, sellerElaine, you are completely knowledgeable about the market and what appeals to buyers. Additionally, your ability to coordinate contractors and suppliers to ready the house for market in a cost-efficient manner was invaluable. You were also available whenever we needed you, had answers to all of our questions and are a skillful negotiator, all while maintaining the utmost integrity.
- John Stacey, sellerElaines reputation precedes her. As a family law attorney and broker, Elaine White has all the necessary skills to guide your clients through the selling or buying process. As a listing agent for divorcing parties, Elaine is able to navigate strained relationships to accomplish the common goalselling the house for the most amount of money in the shortest period of time. We consistently receive extremely positive feedback from clients who use Elaine. Some have even liked her so much that they have hired her as the buying agent to purchase their next home. We never hesitate to recommend Elaine to our clients.
- Marisa SanFilippo & Michele BissadaBuying a new home is always fraught with financial and emotional challenges. Trying to do so in a highly competitive and challenging market like Palo Alto only magnifies these realities. In working with Elaine White over a 3 year period to finally close on our dream home, I can say with complete confidence that Elaine is the best in the business. Based on 100's of interactions with Elaine (and her sister, Beth), my wife and I always found them to be responsive, knowledgeable, creative, trustworthy and incredible savvy problem-solvers. Like other great realtors, Elaine has strong and competitive fire in her belly. Yet, while it would have been easy for Elaine to walk away from us (again, this was a three year, highly competitive bidding process), she never one flinched and always was there for us every step of the way. Elaine White is the real deal and the consummate professional.
- Chris and Winifred, buyersElaine and Dean made selling our old house and moving to our new house as easy as can be. They had our house read to go on the market in one week, and helped with everything from shopping and installing new fixtures, meeting with contractors, and helping us pick paint colors! As busy parents of three young children I dont think we could have managed the process without them. Six months after our move I still call Elaine and Dean when I need help with house-related questions, and they still go out of their way to help me. We could not have been happier with Elaine and Deans expertise and guidance.
- Flavia Herrod, buyer and sellerIf you are a professional and want a true professional representing you on either side of a real estate transaction- hire Elaine. If you are not a professional and not experienced in buying or selling your property, it is imperative that you hire Elaine. She simply knows exactly what she is doing, understands the market, knows every top real estate pro in the market and will get the job done in your best interests every single time. It is no wonder she is a top 1% realtor nationwide for Coldwell Banker; best of the best. She recently sold my house in Menlo Park; it was our third transaction together. Our first was in 2001 when she sold my house in the Vintage Oaks neighborhood of Menlo Park; she was a neighbor and active realtor in that neighborhood and seemed to be a good choice. I then tasked her with finding us a new house and she got us into a wonderful house in Menlo Park. Now 16 years later, I decided it was time for a change and of course Elaine was my unequivocal choice as an agent; truly a no-brainer and she did another great job with the sale. Here's why Elaine is my go-to realtor:1. Her ethics are beyond question: When I bought the house in Menlo Park, it was one of her listings but she also knew we would love the house and wanted to show it to us. She was right- we loved it and we had looked at every house on the market at the time. I completely trusted her to handle both sides of the transaction and I am a very experienced home buyer and knew the market, etc. But Elaine would not put herself, the seller or me, in the position of a conflict of interest and introduced me to a top realtor team in a competing agency to legally represent me. She didn't have to, I even protested but she said 'no- these agents are very good, they will take care of you and it would not be right of me to represent both sides' . There are so few agents in the world who would do that: Give up the chance to score a dual commission on a transaction but she never wanted any of those involved to have any second thoughts about it. 2. She knows what it takes to sell your house in the market; she knows how to price it perfectly and prepare it perfectly. She has a fantastic team of contractors and stagers that come in and prepare the house- quickly and beautifully. Real pros who knew what to do and how quickly to do it and it wasn't just superficial window dressing of the 'flip this house bs' variety; the quality of the work had to be commensurate with, and reflect the value of, the house. The house looked great and sold 2 days after the first open house to a very nice family. 3. She just doesn't bs or try to throw the charm card at all and will give you straight, honest answers and asks very direct, to the point, questions. I can see how her very direct style could turn some people off but her goal is to get the job done, make sure you have all the information you need to make an educated decision and truly represent your interests. I get the sense that she sees her realty clients just as she did her legal clients; fiercely loyal and dedicated to their best interests. She's just good people in the deepest, folk sense of the word. 4. She's just smart- and she listens to you but doesn't waste your time. She has all the reports done, the repair work complete, the home warranty purchased (she paid for the warranty no less), made me fill out the disclosures- Before we listed. Why? Because it took all the variables off the table so that when we went into contract, we knew it was going to go through without surprises or further haggling. From the buying side, the same thing: Get all the information upfront and go in strong and get the deal done.
