My parents taught me to take calculated risks. As a child I watched them plan our future as interest rates leapt beyond 14% . I listened as they discussed real estate investments as we sat in line for gas in our paneled station wagon. They were regular people working hard and searching for opportunities in a crazy market. Fast forward. The subdivisions of my youth created a hunger to explore the charming homes and historic neighborhoods of Charlotte North Carolina. Charlotte and I grew up together and I loved every minute of it. For 20 years I bought, designed, renovated, developed and sold homes in neighborhoods like Dilworth, Midwood, the NoDa Arts District and Myers Park. When I arrived in Charlotte in 1987 it seemed that Mid Century Modern was Charlotte’s forgotten Architecture. Today Charlotte is a Modern City with a thirst for Modern Homes and Modern Design.
