  • Ellen listed and sold my home

While going through a rough divorce, Ellen played both sides against each other. While staging my home, they broke crystal, lied about it and refused to reimburse me for it. She cut the referral agent out who is a dear friend without telling me about it AND the lead had come through the referral agent's website and was passed on to Ellen. I believe she also broke a confidence by telling the buyers what I HAD to accept for the house, I had to be within a 10% margin, and that's EXACTLY the amount I got! A $125K loss!!! I was forced to accept a disappointing offer, the offer was given with the words, "and not a penny more"! Obviously the buyers knew what price they had to come in with. During the honeymoon period (getting the listing) she was great, once she got the listing, she was very unresponsive when I had questions but was sure to call me when she wanted something. In summary, I would NEVER recommend her as a double agent and I am very unhappy with her ethics!
