Gary Steele

Gary lied to us about restrictions. I saw restrictions listed on the survey. When I asked what they were he said it was "no hogs allowed, pretty standard in this area." Turns out the restrictions were extensive and substantially affected the value of the property. This lie cost me at least $200k. When I found out about the restrictions after closing, he basically said too bad, guess you should have checked that out. Well, that was why I asked him. I didn't expect a bald-faced lie. The title company shoud have provided the text descriptions of the restrictions as well, but at least they didn't out-right lie. I would not do business with Gary.
