I am proud to be a fourth generation South Dakotan, Educated in Sioux Falls, I recall when Washington High, in my sophomore year - 1964, had 3,000 students and 300 teachers in what is now the Washington Pavilion. I majored in economics at Sioux Falls College 1967-1971, now known as the University of Sioux Falls. In 1972 Sioux Falls' population was 72,000. Everybody knew everybody. I was licensed in 1984 in both real estate and the mortgage business. Interest rates were in the high teens. Yet, we built and sold homes. Over the years, the real estate business has evolved to embrace major league consumer protection. Disclosures as to property condition, structural, electrical & mechanical issues, building permits, zoning, covenants and restrictions, easements, hazardous conditions such as mold, lead paint, radon, pests, all affect property occupancy and value. I have 43 years' construction experience, which gives me knowledge that very few realtors have. Twenty-four years' mortgage experience (1984-2008) allows me to make sure you obtain the best mortgage available.
