We needed to sell our house in order to buy a condo. Our first agent with whom we bought our condo turned out not to be familiar enough with our area. We asked him to release us from our contract so we could sell our house. A neighbor recommended Heather to us, which we considered our lucky day. She had a vast knowledge of our area and her process expertise was masterful. She wrote a very good article about our house and had great pictures taken to accompany the article. She also had a very good feeling for buyers and their needs and negotiated with them without loosing sight of our interest. Nervous sellers are never easy but she tuned into us and her responses to our phone calls were immediate. She was able to answer all our questions and calmed our worries. What a great agent! With our kids on their own, we decided to downsize. One of the best decisions we made during this process was hiring Heather to sell our old house and help us buy a new one. During the entire time Heather was helping us, we felt like she was looking out for our best interest, rather than just trying to earn her commission. For example, at one point she politely tried to warn us off of a house we were interested in because she thought its closeness to a major street might hinder its resale value. We eventually found an bought a house in the same development that was further away from the major road. Moreover, she has so much experience in this field that she knows exactly who to turn to for help. Before we put our house on the market, she recommended a "house stager" to see if we could make any quick changes to make the house more marketable. That person suggested several simple changes that left us wondering why we had not made those changes in the 20 years we had lived in the house. She hired a photographer to shoot pictures of the house for the listing whose pictures were so good we started to wonder why we were moving! We were not interested in waiting for months to sell our old house in order to extract every last possible dollar. Knowing that, Heather helped us price our house appropriately and it sold for the list price after being on the market for three days. As an additional bonus, Heather is a very nice person. It was fun being around her during the entire process
