- Janie showed me homes
Janie met my wife about 30 minutes before she met me and when she did, she crossed us off the list. My blonde headed wife Was a perfect fit for that house she loved and it was available right then and there. When I showed up minutes later, she told us that the house was no longer available and the people that looked at it 5 minutes before my wife did, left a deposit and a credit application. I guess she didn't like me or the fact that I wasn't what she wanted me to be. We spoke to the couple that saw the house and they told us that they never left a deposit or did a credit app, the house wasn't going to work for them. So we pushed to get in the house and Janie made us supply all this paperwork as if I was buying the house. She emailed us after days of trying to get a hold of her to find out what was going on. The email stated that we were good to go! I have no idea what that meant because I never ever heard from her again. Never answers her phone or responded to emails after that and had all our personal information. We were very disappointed in the service offered at this company. I would never recommend Janie scanlon to anyone never the less nuvue realty. I make a lot of money and never ever have felt the act of racism until I met Janie scanlon. She is ghe eppitamy of disgust in this world. Money has no color.

When I first contacted Ms. Scanlon I thought everything would go very well. I called her during a holiday week near the end of December, I left a message, and she returned my call the very next day. This was before the house I was interested in renting was actually put on the market. Once she told me the price the owner was wanting, I said I thought that was too much but would speak with my wife and call her back that afternoon. She answered when I called her back and after answering a few more questions about the property and me asking if the price could be negotiated, I thought it would not work out and asked about other properties in a different price range. Within 20 minutes she sent me an email of another property. After speaking with my wife again we decided we really wanted to try and get the original property I spoke with Ms. Scanlon about. The next day I sent her an email explaining that we would really be interested in the original property we spoke about, I made an offer, and two hours later she asks when we would be able to move in. She begins responding to my emails within minutes, so I'm still fairly happy about the responsiveness and information she is giving. I tell her after we are approved we could move in within 30 days. She tells me the owner wants someone to move in within 2 weeks. I speak to my wife once again, and I email back within minutes and tell her we could make that work. We would need to see the inside of the house and see a lease first. From the phone call I originally placed, to when she called me back, and finally our email exchanges, this all took place within a 4 day period or so. After this, I hear nothing for two days. At the time I was upset because if someone wants tenants to move in within two weeks, two days is a long time to hear nothing back. She did respond back to another email and informed me she would be back in town that upcoming Monday, which was three days from then. I called her that Tuesday and learned that she was unable to respond to my previous calls and emails due to a family emergency. Absolutely understandable and no fault of hers. I tell her that I'm still interested in the property and would like to do a tour that day or the next if possible. She tells me that she can give me the code so I can go see it myself. Then she tells me that she has two or three others willing to pay the price that the owner was hoping for. She wants to get caught up by calling them and then she will call me back. Again, I'm understanding of that. At this point, she has not shot down my offer on monthly rent or how long the lease would be for. Telling me that she has other people interested at the full price was the first time it seemed that maybe my offer wasn't going to be accepted. I sent an email to her about an hour later asking if I could get the code to see the house as I told her I would be able and would like to see the house that day or the next. Keep in mind, the move in was supposed to be by the following week. I said we could move in by the 12th. I tried to call two or three days after that as well. I have never heard anything back. If she or the owner did not like my offer, then tell me. Don't make it seem like we can work it out by responding to my emails within minutes and then a few days later tell me I can have the code when you call me back only to never do so. The five days she was out of town are understandable. But telling me that I can see the place and telling me you'll call me back and then never doing it are not. A call or an email letting me know that the owner is not interested would have been fine. I cannot recommend her because the overall process was stressful, her responsiveness is spotty, she made it seem like negotiation was possible but never gave me a clear answer, unless not calling back counts. I suppose it can, but it's exceptionally unprofessional. In other words, her negotiation skills don't seem to be there. If this property were available within a few weeks her responsiveness to calls and emails would be fine. But if a move in is within two weeks, I would think you would want to let people at least see the place. I know that I was one of the people showing great interest. She told me that there had been a few showings, but I was never told about a time for those. Perhaps she was more responsive to other people that showed interest. To that I would say again, if you or the owner do not like my offer, then just tell me. Don't string me along. If you're looking to buy or rent a property, I would advise you look to someone besides Ms. Scanlon.
