Jenny Olson-Paden

Born and raised in Kansas City. After running a chain of successful garden centers my family decided to open a pet store in the heart of downtown Lee's Summit. We opened the Spring of 2008. The economy was good in Kansas City. Come the Summer of 2010 things had changed. Many of the customers that we had come to know and love were being let go from long time jobs. Each day I had clients coming in, begging me to take their animals because they were losing their homes. Amazon Prime was catching on and many people were purchasing supplies online. In 2012 we could no longer keep our doors open. Unfortunately it had taken a huge toll on both my parents and my husband and I. We came close to losing our home on two occasions.
