Will not recommend!! Horrible experience with him and his broker!! I would like to submit a formal complaint against Joseph Iannibelli and his broker Gary Leogrande. Joseph took me and my two young kids to see a few properties, after we had submitted a request to put in an offer on one of them Joseph lied to me and told me that I must sign a document so that he could send in the offer. While holding a 6 month old fussy baby and watching my other son jumping around I was told to write my and my husband’s names and sign in two places. The offer was sent and accepted and we brought in an engineer to check the property. The engineer reported to me that the whole time Joseph said that things are not a big deal and that he should not make them seem like a big deal. A new retaining wall was needed, cracks in the foundation, the whole house needed new electrical system. The engineer told my husband all that privately after a few weeks when he called to ask questions. We are looking for a house approximately 30-40 minutes from Manhattan- we made sure the agent was aware of that. My husband asked him about places in Long Island and Joseph kept saying that the crime there and the schools there ( in places that we are able to afford on Long Island) are not good. We were told that we did not get the property we put an offer on so we started looking in Long Island. When we asked Joseph to show us places in Long Island he said that he does not do Long Island so that we were not able to look for a place there. We didn’t understand what he had meant by that. Two weeks after the signature and several requests to get a copy of the proposal document I signed I received an exclusive right to represent contract that locked me with this agent for 9 months. Joseph mislead us to think that he was doing things in our favor. Lied to us and made me sign a contract by telling me it’s a necessary document so that he could send in an offer and now neither him or his broker Gary will let us out of that contract. We do not want to work with a person who lied and manipulated us and we do not want to work with his broker who is equally to blame for not supporting perspective clients
