Lila Nicolls

Lila is the best of the best. She has a ridiculous amount of experience, having been a realtor since the 80s! My fiance and I fist asked Lila to list and sell my fiance's house in Newport News, VA. She listed it and helped to negotiate a sale quick. Afterwards, she helped us look for homes all over the Hampton Roads area. We went back and forth looking for homes, and looking for vacant lots to have a new home built on instead, but finally found our dream home way out in Ivor, VA. Lila helped us negotiate a steal on this property, with a purchase price $50k below appraisal! Soon as we moved into the new home in Ivor, Lila listed my home in Yorktown, VA for sale. My house took a little longer to sell than I was hoping for, but none of that was Lila's fault. She had advised me to list the house at a lower price, but I held out for a while hoping to make more of a profit. In the end, I negotiated down to what Lila had recommended from the start. She stayed with us through all 3 sales and closings, which in the end took about a year and a half from time we first listed my fiance's house, until we closed on the sale of my house. Lila has listed and sold two homes for us as well as help us buy two homes. She's our go-to real-estate agent. We think of no-one else when it comes to helping and representing us with our home selling and buying decisions. Lila has always been responsive, even when I'm traveling on business. She also understands my wife who is not native to this area. That really helps when both of us are comfortable with our agent. Lila goes the extra mile all the time. I could not speak more highly of Lila Nicolls and my experience working with her. Once I had a contract on the house that I wanted, it took five months to get to the point of closing on the house (exclusively because of the seller not getting things done to get the title cleared). Throughout those five months, Lila remained on top of things, regularly communicating with the seller’s realtor and the title company, making sure that I remained fully informed of what was (and wasn’t!) getting done, and that I got the necessary forms to be signed to keep renewing the contract. My banker and the people at the title company were also very helpful throughout the process, but I continually felt that I was in very good hands with Lila doing everything she could to keep things going and make things happen. We were both relieved and rejoiced when I could finally complete the closing on the house. I would recommend Lila very highly to anyone who wants someone who will do everything she can to make sure they get the house they want, not just helping them find the right house, but, once they’ve found it, staying with them right up to getting the closing completed, no matter how prolonged the process becomes. On top of all that, she’s just a very great person to know! If I were to give Lila Nicolls a grade as a realtor, it would be an A+!
