- Mairin helped me buy a home
I've worked with several real estate agents over the last 20 years but Mairin is by far the best to work with. I've bought 3 properties through her and will continue to work with her in the future!
- Mairin listed and sold my home
Awesome. Mairin was easy to communicate with and always on top of her game!

Mairin was fantastic to work with as a buyer's agent, and we absolutely recommend her! My husband and I met Mairin at an open house, and we immediately found her warm and helpful, without being the least bit pushy. We called her the next day. She met us that evening and went over comps and explained the process. We were on a tight timeline, as I was about 20 weeks pregnant, and we wanted to move before I delivered. She was super responsive to emails and texts, even up to 10pm at night, and would show us houses on short notice, including those that weren't on the market. We liked to look at properties on our own first and check in with her afterwards, which she was happy to accommodate. She would call listing agents to help us get more information about properties. This was very helpful and definitely more than we would've been comfortable with doing. She absolutely knew the nuances of real estate in San Francisco, and never pushed us to do anything we weren't comfortable with doing. We carefully discussed each house we really liked, and we found a beautiful single family home (a bigger house and at a better price than we expected) after 2 months of searching! Our bank made the closing process a little difficult, but she really helped us keep them accountable. In the end, we closed only 3 days after the agreed date. We love our new home in the Outer Richmond and can't thank Mairin enough!

Mairin was awesome! On top of her knowledge of the neighborhoods and kindness educating a first time buyer, she was extremely flexible with my work travel schedule.

I had been browsing listings on Zillow casually for over a year to assess the market but in the fall of this year, my husband and I started attending more open houses as we were contemplating the next steps in our lives - whether to settle in the Bay area or move back to the east coast where we are both originally from. We met Mairin at an open house on a condo -- she was easy to talk with and that week, as we started seeing properties that we wanted to seriously consider putting an offer in for, we knew we needed a broker as soon as possible. We reached out to Mairin and she met with us over tea where we learned more about her and she learned about us and what we were looking for. She came across as very laid back and not pushy -- the last thing I wanted was a broker making me feel like I needed to buy a place in this intense and hot Bay area market. That was probably the biggest consideration for me when we were looking for a broker. Mairin also didn't make us sign any paperwork committing to using only her (although we didn't have any other brokers). Overall Mairin fit our style very nicely. We preferred scoping out listings ourselves, and spent almost every weekend for 1.5 months attending about 10-15 open houses each weekend. Mairin would then visit the properties we liked, would get a feel for the competition and what a competitive offer would be, provided comps and guidance on an offer strategy, and insight on different neighborhoods (note we were looking at neighborhoods that we had never heard of before). She helped set our expectations on multiple occasions. After 2 weeks of searching, we changed almost completely what we were looking for and Mairin adapted to our evolving must haves. Mairin was also very responsive over text at all hours, during the week and the weekends. Buying in the Bay area is definitely taxing emotionally and psychologically, and my husband and I knew we couldn't get emotionally attached to properties we liked -- Marin helped keep this in the forefront of our minds, reassuring us that there would be other properties, that generally folks can take a year to find something, and reminded us of our must-haves and non-negotiables. As we were not on any timeline to buy, we didn't have an urgency and were planning to take our time, although even 2 months of home searching was exhausting (and definitely requires some stamina!). We knew if we didn't get anything come Nov 2017, we would pause our search until Q1 2018. However, in the span of 3 weeks, we ended up putting an offer in on 2 separate homes. Having conditioned ourselves to not get emotionally attached, we didn't feel that bad that we weren't the highest bid (it helped to remind ourselves that those properties were not meant to be our home). The process was in itself a learning experience and both situations prepared us emotionally for the offer that we put in on what is now our home. In the end, after only 2 months of serious searching, we were able to close on a home that we really like (and hope to grow to love!). It was a home I initially loved after the first open house (which was super busy and my husband was not at all interested since he anticipated a bidding war). After seeing disclosures and the inspection report, my initial love faded and we were not as enthusiastic, but what changed our minds was another opinion from Mairin's colleague Kevin who used to be a contractor -- his input helped alleviate some of the initial concerns we had and made us feel better about putting together a competitive offer. At that point, having gone through the process twice already, we were able to hold firm on our best and final offer, which felt right to us. And we ended up getting a home that we can see ourselves in for years to come in a negotiation that made us feel good. Buying in the Bay area is definitely a learning process and it was great to have Mairin there guiding us. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a broker who is laid back and listens to what you want while at the same time providing her honest opinion. Thanks Mairin!

This has been my third home purchase and my first in San Francisco. In my experience, it's necessary to have a realtor that understands the local market, is a confident advocate for their client, and available to guide one through the buying or selling process. Mairin fulfills all these expectations and more. Nine out of ten times I contacted her she responded within an hour, most often sooner. The only times she didn't were when I wasn't really expecting to get a response right away, like my random 0300 concerns via text. She was extremely patient and gave me valuable insights into the neighborhoods only a local would know. Without reservation I give Mairin my highest recommendation for your home buying or selling needs and will undoubtedly consult her when it comes time for my next purchase or sale.
- Justin D.Mairin is a skilled, thoughtful and knowledgable realtor, and a fantastic person. She and I hit it off immediately -- she got to know my needs and put a ton of focus and enthusiasm into our search for a home I would love. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for an intelligent and personable individual to make the process of buying a home fruitful and enjoyable.
- Eva. LMy husband and I worked with Mairin to buy our first home. San Francisco is a tough market to be first time buyers and Mairin's patience, communication and dedication to seeing us through the process was paramount. She was available for calls and meetings anytime and was very proactive in sharing updates and information. The closing process was also very smooth and stress free. Mairin managed the details for appraisal, closing our loan and signing with the title company. Overall she was personable and a pleasure to work with throughout the process!
- Audrey D.While doing my research to buy my first home, I got connected with Mairin and haven't looked back. My journey began in September 2015 and it took about 5 months to find the right property given my limited price point. I'm extremely happy to report that we closed today (3/5/16) on a home in San Francisco. The transaction went very smooth and I believe Mairin played a significant role. Mairin understands the San Francisco Bay Area market pretty well which made my house hunting a lot easier. Mairin is very responsive and always got back to me with any question I posed in a timely manner, and boy did I have plenty. At times I would send her an e-mail late at night and got a response within minutes. Mairin is very easy to work with and takes her work very seriously which is what you want in an agent. She is very flexible and accomodating which made the house hunting process easier. Mairin had several clients while she was helping me but she always made me feel that my needs were the most important. With Mairin I never felt pressured and she always listened to my needs and wants with respect to the type of property I was looking for. I strongly recommend Mairin for your home purchasing needs. If you are looking for a top agent to join your team as you begin your home purchasing journey, look no further as Mairin will surely deliver! Thanks a bunch Mairin!
- Jorge C.My wife Laura and I had been searching for a new home in San Francisco for a few months before we met Mairin. We had put in offers on a few homes (with little guidance) only to be severely outbid and were starting to lose hope. Then we met Mairin. She listened to our plight, immediately had some helpful tips, and offered to talk with us more as soon as we had time. She carefully reviewed with us what we were looking for, what we could make work, and the sacrifices we really didn't want to make when it came to our first home; the whole time reassuring us that we would be able to find that home that would be the next big step in our lives.Within days she had already found a number of homes for us to look at and was very careful to listen to our feedback and adjust what we were looking for as we continued the search. She provided valuable insight when preparing our bid and helped us craft an offer that would win. Cut to a few weeks later and we are preparing to move into a home that we would never have found without her and didn't think would be possible at the start of our search!I am confident that without Mairin's expertise we would not be moving into our first home right now. If you are looking for someone who will seriously guide you through purchasing a home and provide critical local market knowledge, then look no further!
- Derrek HMy first ever property purchase closed last week in SF, and I could not have done it without Mairin. During the search phase, she was attentive, listening carefully to our requirements and finding us the perfect property. During the bidding process, she provided valuable insight into local market dynamics, positioning our offer to win. During the closing process, she was proactive and responsive, always advocating on our behalf and taking care of the details. She made a real estate newbie like myself feel I was in secure hands. Mairin is also a wonderfully kind person. She truly wanted a great outcome for me and successfully made that happen. I highly recommend her services.
