We count ourselves extremely blessed that Matthew and Julie Elliott were our buyers' agents in the recent purchase of our retirement/vacation home in the Charlotte area. They really listened to what it was we were seeking, not only from a square footage or "beds and baths" description, but also to the vision we had for ourselves and our family and friends. They found us a great fit with a house that was in the very early stages of construction in a lakeside community. It was an out-of-the-box find (the contract having been backed out of by the initial buyer) and we never would have known about it without their efforts. Then they helped us to negotiate a very fair contract for the home including some changes and additions to satisfy our individual tastes. Their service didn't end there though. Matthew used his experience in construction to give us great advice throughout the project and even served as our eyes and ears sometimes when we could not get to Charlotte to look in on things ourselves. On multiple occasions one or the other picked one of us up at the airport, drove us to the site for an inspection or meeting, and then dropped us back at the airport. Such generosity and kindness is really above and beyond!! Matthew and Julie also did a great job of making us feel like a part of the community before we even lived there. They gave us referrals on all kinds of activities, shops and restaurants. They drove us around and showed us many of the local amenities and attractions. And they even gave us our first house-warming gift when we closed. My Wife and I Recently Purchased a Townhouse/ Condo in Cornelius NC. I have met with or dealt with many Realtors over the years and have to say that Meeting and Working with Matthew and Julie Elliott has been the best experience I have ever had. From our first Meeting with Matt through our closing I felt like I had someone by my side that was not just trying to make a sale, but also treated us not just as a client but as a friend. I have personally owned a few homes in the past however this was my wifes first time home shopping and Julie was her perfect partner in the process. Her and Matt were always available by phone or text to answer any questions. One example of how they listened to our needs/ wants is that on our first meeting Matt took many notes and made sure that Julie also understood them. At one point during our search my wife found a different townhome for sale online and called them to ask about it. Matts first comment was I do not think you will like it yes it is in a great neighborhood however one of your needs was your ease of commute to and from work and this will not meet that because the entrance is on a very busy road and may be hard to get in and out of at times. I know this may seem like a trivial need to some but to my wife this was a big need on her list and for Matt to Remember something so trivial really made me feel like we had someone on our side who listened.
