I discovered the Chama area back in the late 90's quite by accident and fell in love with this stunning area immediately. As soon as my husband and I came over the hill into the valley, we knew we had to make this place our home. This love is one of the many reasons I am now involved in real estate. I really like the fact that the Chama area is a four season destination. There is so much to experience in any of the seasons. My family & I enjoy getting out & about in the spring to watch the spring run offs & see our rivers flowing quickly & filling up our two close by lakes. We love to go to both Heron & El Vado Lakes for boating, fishing & swimming in the summer months along with hiking & exploring in our spare time. In the fall, we always take time to go for a ride to see the spectacular fall colors from the quaking Aspens in the mountains, to the cottonwoods along the Chama River. Winter months bring lots of snow, but our daytime temperatures are really nice so we get out as much as possible for sledding & snow shoeing.
