I did not have a very good experience with this realtor. My husband and I are looking for a home to rent. I contacted him about one and was very transparent about one issue that my husband had with a previous landlord 6 years ago. I always lead with this because I don't like to waste anyone's time if the owners are not willing to work with us. In this case, he said, verbatim "no, that shouldn't be a problem. I will follow up with you later about scheduling a visit". I did not hear from him for the rest of that day. Texted him the next day, no response. 2 days later my sister calls. He says that there is an application already out on the house and he will "check in in 1-2 days" if it doesn't go through. This was frustrating, because I sent a request to view the house literally the day it was listed. I understand the process and know full well that he held out until he could secure a more "qualified" applicant, but I truly would've appreciated some honesty and at least a response letting us know that he did not want to help us. Instead, he lied to me and then dodged me, not even giving us the opportunity to possibly get the house. That, to me, was very unprofessional. If I'm being transparent, I expect that same transparency at the very least. I was very unhappy with him and would not advise working with him if you're looking for a genuine experience where your realtor is actually trying to HELP and not meet his own bottom line.
