We were looking at buying a home in the evergreen neighborhood without an agent when we were asked to contact Ravi by our close relative. And currently, when looking at it from close to end of the process of buying a home, we are very glad we didnt go through with our original idea and instead went with Ravi as our real estate broker.Ravi is a real estate broker, not just an agent, and thus brings a wealth of knowledge of real estate laws, documentation and a keen acumen for making good deals for his clients to the table. He is a specialist in the evergreen neighborhood and he is has built a great relationship with other agents, which he then uses to translate it to real savings for his clients. He is articulate, patient and takes pain to explain each part of the process clearly. He believes in building relationship with his clients and now we are not just clients but good friends too. As a first time buyer, the process for us was confusing, the criteria for buying the house was still evolving and we were not very clear on our buying power and were under representing ourselves. During our search process, Ravi made sure that we are very clear in our minds as to the criteria and helped us refine it. He gave us presentations which made it clear to us of our buying power and patiently guided us through as we looked at houses and made offers at all times of the day, many times late into the night. Really appreciable!!Ravi made available to us the tools for searching homes, especially the foreclosed homes and the listings as visible to the agents. He would give his suggestions regarding the homes and a he would not only suggest us some homes but more importantly he guided us away from some homes even when we were keen on them. Looking back, we now know that it would have been bad deals if we had gone ahead.We have found our dream home and are currently close to the end of the process. Ravi is an expert on foreclosure properties and is extremely well versed with the process. He is very meticulous with details and makes sure that we as his clients are protected in this difficult process. He fights for us and got us a great deal for the home. He also made sure that the bank still pays for inspections and closing costs which is not very usual for bank owned properties. All of these result in cutting the end costs for us as a buyer!We really appreciate the work done by Ravi on our behalf. Ravi is a highly competent, compact [no excesses, zero-fat, often known as clear-thinking-quick-reacting], honest, goal driven person who hates to fail. Your best bet is to have him on YOUR team. I will go one step further: Do not bet against him. You are most likely to concede. As I have, when I recently held a wager by saying, No way you can make this thing [well, we are talking real estate here] move within a week in a market like what we currently have. He just did. Ravi may not be the right agent for everyone.There is a cost of doing business with Ravi. I do not mean the usual [the money part], but the fact that he is a highly motivated complex-thinking operator given much to details, and expects no less from you. I have seen him changing his mind, not often though, and only by superior logic. If you prefer an easy-going yes person, Ravi is NOT for you. He values objective expectations and results. He will drive you to express your expectation, then ensures results to fall in line with that. If you like to change your mind often and not sure of what you may be wanting, Ravi MAY NOT be for you.For the rest, as they say, one can go far with sweet words, but one goes even further with sweet words and a large stick. Look out for stick Ravi carries. It is his broad infectious smile. I have not seen too many people negotiating so hard with such a genuine smile on his face. It just may be, that he loves negotiating. I must add, gloves never come out of his hand, even when he is fighting hard.Where I want to end is how much my wife and I enjoyed knowing Ravis whole team: his wife Apu and his son Karan. It is not easy to go through any real estate transaction. It takes such a toll on you. Ravi, Apu and Karan was a pleasure to know on a personal level throughout that process.

We recently bought our second home through Ravi Shah in the Evergreen neighborhood.Ravi has been very patient in dealing with us, we had quite a lot of non-standard demands for the new home, apart from the common things (any usual buyers would have) such as Location, Price, Size, etc. Ravi has been very supportive on our requirements, appreciated every one of them and also provided valuable feedback on what is best for us and our family - in terms of money, safety, etc.He has shown us a wide variety of properties to gauge our interest and also understand the requirements (in real life) and finally found the right property that met all of our needs. Once he showed us the property (the one we actually ended up buying), we could not believe ourselves; it seemed like a custom built home for us.I have worked with Realtors in the past and Ravi is quite different in his outlook towards business. More than doing business, he wants to establish a long lasting relationship with his clients and would go all the way to help the clients find the property that they would love to call it their home. He represents you (as a buyer) and deals with the negotiations to get you the right price, recommends ideas to deal with finances and other aspects, importantly provides updates on the status of the deal on a regular basis. He knows his work and he knows it best - there is no doubt about it.You simply have to tell him what you want and he would take care of the rest.I have seen some of the houses my friends have bought through him and that's when we decided Ravi would be our Realtor.Our experience with Ravi has been great so far and we are having him help us out with selling our present home as well.

It has been an extreme pleasure working with Ravi. Not knowing the neighborhood, schools, he helped us identify the right neighborhood and move to making an offer all within 24 hours! If that is impressive, he negotiated the price to which the appraisal has come for. Again negotiating in the current market situation is something that someone has to learn from you. This required Lengthy conversations with Listing agent, seller and Ravi. Ravi facilitated this with Diplomacy and fairness. He encouraged financial concessions by all parties. He was open and honest. He led the way by putting his concessions on the Table. The result was a win- win for everybody. There were many more offers on this house. We were the lucky one. This just shows that he can stretch to any extent to make the deal and satisfy his clients.I should not forget to mention that while the house search to making an offer was in 24hrs, it also included getting the financial preapproval. It is with upmost gratitude and pleasure that I write this recommendation for Mr. Ravi Shah, our realtor.
