More about Robert Helmick

My Client-First Philosophy There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work. That said, in my experience as a Port Orange real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.

  • Robert and I connected, but did no business

***BEWARE*** I am a Gulf War Veteran & NOT wealthy. Due to COVID, my family needs to move from our apt to a home. Savings I need now more than ever of over $700 per month. I made an offer 4619 Secret River Trail in Port Orange FL. I am a first-time homebuyer with great credit. When you look at the listing, it says 2997 sq ft of living space. After I scraped together my ESCROW of $3000, and the inspection $500, I found out the house was only 1727 sq ft. He included in the listing as living space, a 506 sq ft garage, a 744 sq ft outdoor uncovered porch, and a 20 sq ft door entrance, also uncovered and unenclosed. This totals 2997 sq ft. I found out yesterday that the actual living space is 1727 not 2997 as it says on Zillow. He made me change the inspection period to 7 days instead of 15 days and this is HOW I WAS TRICKED. He is a LAWYER also, so By the time I signed the contract and scheduled the inspection, it was already 6 days and on the 7th day, I can't get back the ESCROW. I was naive and didn't know to check the property appraiser's website, I thought Zillow was accurate. They are misrepresenting properties and have a racquet going on. The investors, title company, and his RE company are all in on it, sharing office space and tricking first-time homebuyers. What recourse does someone like me have? The $3000 was all my savings and now I don't know what my family is going to do. Don't trust this company. If this helps 1 veteran OR 1 CIVILIAN not get ripped off, I am thankful. Beware of those that entice veterans with sweet talk, they speak with forked tongues! Karma Karma Karma See for yourself and visit Zillow. Expand on the Details "See More Facts and Features" Word for Word it says this: Total interior livable area: 2,997 sqft
